Dr. Robert Ballad - he is an oceanographer who worked on the investigations of the Titanic shipwreck
Dr. Amy Baco - she is a visiting investigator who works at the wood hole oceanographic institution, she studies deep sea corals and wale falls
Dr. Peter Auster - he is a fish ecologist who uses many types of water transports to help collect data and information for his job
Edith A. Widder - she is a senior scientist at the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Association
Jill Heinerth - she is a professional underwater filmmaker and photographer, she also has an independent production company
3. Describe what your day might be like if you were a marine mammal biologist.
If I was a marine mammal biologist I would have tons of work to do everyday weather it was analyzing and collecting information or diving in the ocean to collect samples.
4. In some ways, deep-sea explorers of modern times are similar to historic explorers. They are brave, curious men and women who are at the cutting edge of their field of interest. They are very unique individuals. One of the senior scientists interviewed on the OceanAGE Web page explains the difference between a submarine and a submersible. Find her name and record what she says about this difference.
This a unique person who happens to be a senior scientist, her name is Edith Widder. She uses submersibles to help her work with her job.

Every explorer, regardless of being from the past or the present, has had many hardships. The past explorers may not have had the technology we have today but they did have the drive and determination.
2. Name some places that have been explored in modern times.
Some places that have been explored in modern times are under the ocean, the forests, even the moon.
3. Name places that were explored during the early history of humans.
Christopher Columbus found America.
4. Name a place that you have explored. What was unique about it that you think another visitor to that site would not have noticed?
I have been to Jamaica and whats unique about it is that there is alot of history surrounding the island

I would like to explore Europe just because Ive always wanted to go there
